Rental Equipment

NZSSI has a selection of equipment onsite that is available for use. Whether this means borrowing equipment for your course, or trying out alternative equipment, we have a selection of tools and gear that can be used on the mountain during your course. This includes:

• Climbing harnesses and hardware
• Ice screws & Snow stakes
• Climbing ropes
• Bivy Bags
• Emergency bothy bags
• Crampons & Ice Axes
• Helmets
• Packs
• Transceiver/probe/shovel
• Snow Shoes

Please note, we do not have ski boots, mountaineering boots, or ski touring gear. This gear can in some cases be rented, but also purchased from reputable outdoor gear shops on the South Island.
